At our recent book launch (thank you to everyone who came out!), we got into it. People often ask: "What are you guys 'Anti' anyway?" Clearly we're not putting out a cookbook if we're against cooking! We are for cooking, independence, wholesomeness, good health and so on. In no particular order, we are against:
-Food as a performance and pressure: the glossy, photogenicity and rigid or overwrought recipes elevated above kitchen creativity and doing what works for you.
-Wasting of packaging, fossil fuels, ingredients, leftovers, money and time.
-The idea that only chefs to have something to share about food.
-Fast food as a go-to.
-Meat and potatoes as a primary approach.
